Collapse all
|- Police Accountability: Vallejo PD has the highest rate of police killings in northern California. The City of Vallejo has failed to reign in their PD, so the PD must be put under state recivership in order to hold killer cops to account.
- Universal housing: Shelter all the unhoused. Concord achieved only 2% of its state mandated affordable housing goals. Develp the Concord Naval Weapons station exclusively with affordable housing.
- Non-compliance with ICE! No camps, deportations or family separations. Sanctuary for all. True sanctuary spaces are free from deportations, policing, surveillance and detention.
Meanwhile people are being found dead in their jails, most recently a woman named Maria Barraza in the Martinez Detention Facility. As usual, it was ruled a suicide. Society needs deep, systemic change. We must defend our neighbors of all nationalities, all religious affiliations, all gender identities and sexual orientations. We must push back against reactionary politics from the street to the statehouse to build a future for our youth.
