Cassandra Kirk
Cassandra Kirk is the Fulton County Magistrate Court Chief Magistrate Judge in Georgia. She assumed office in 2015. Her current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Kirk ran for re-election for Fulton County Magistrate Court Chief Magistrate Judge in Georgia. She won in the general election on May 24, 2022.
She was first appointed to the court by Governor Nathan Deal on December 29, 2014, effective in January 2015.[1]
Education
Kirk received her bachelor's degree from Williams College in Massachusetts, and her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law.[1]
Career
Prior to her appointed to the magistrate court, Kirk was a juvenile court judge of Fulton County, Georgia.[1]

Judges of the Georgia Magistrate Courts are either elected or appointed to terms of varying lengths.[2] The elections for this court type are contested and may be partisan or nonpartisan. To serve on this court, a judge must be a county resident for at least one year, be 25 years of age, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.[3]
