Cassie Brown was the Texas Commissioner of Insurance. She assumed office in 2021. She left office on February 2, 2026.

Gov. Greg Abbott (R) appointed Brown commissioner of insurance on September 7, 2021, to replace Kent Sullivan.[1]

Biography

Cassie Brown earned a B.A. in political science from St. Edward's University. Brown's career experience includes working as the state commissioner of the Division of Workers' Compensation, the deputy commissioner for regulatory policy with the Texas Department of Insurance, and a policy advisor to former Governor Rick Perry.[1][2]
