Catherine Byrne earned a B.S. degree in accounting from California Lutheran University in 1997. Byrne’s career experience includes working as a Certified Public Accountant.[1]

My top three priorities are 1) to strengthen Nevada's integrity in our State' financial reporting. 2)take on responsibility of Nevada's division of internal audit. 3) Rally support for collective bargaining rights for state employees and ban "right to work" legislation.[3][4]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

I'm running for political office because Nevada needs more women in Executive Branch offices. The Office of the State Controller should be run by a licensed, professional accountant with governmental accounting experience.
