Catherine M. Bartlett is a judge of the New York Court of Claims and a justice for the Orange County Supreme Court in the 9th Judicial District of New York. She was appointed to the Court of Claims in 2005 and her current term ends in 2022. She has also served as an acting justice of the Supreme Courts of Bronx County (2005), Rockland County (2006-2009) and Orange County (2010-present).[1][2]

Education

Bartlett received her B.S. from American University and her J.D. from the Western New England College School of Law.[1]

Career

Bartlett began her career in 1990 as an Assistant District Attorney in Orange County, NY. She then served as a Goshen Town Justice from 1997 to 2001 and a partner of the law firm of DeProspo, Petrizzo, Longo & Bartlett from 1998 to 2001. From 2002 through 2004, she worked as an Orange County Attorney. Bartlett's judicial career began in 2005, when she was appointed judge of the New York Court of Claims and an Acting Supreme Court Justice. She was reappointed to a full term on the Court of Claims in 2006.[1]
