Catherine Torzewski is a lifelong Hoosier who was raised on the East side of Indianapolis. Her mother was a librarian, and her father was a union labor sheet metal worker. Community was at the center of her upbringing, and she was taught to serve that community starting at an early age. Catherine earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Indianapolis. She possesses extensive experience in business management, having managed a law firm for several years as well as leading her own investment property business, both in her hometown of Indianapolis. In 2014, she became a licensed Realtor and is one of the most successful Realtors within her brokerage. She prides herself on her selfless service to her clients and her extensive knowledge of real estate in central Indiana. Catherine has served on multiple committees for the Metropolitan Indiana Board of Realtors (MIBOR). Because of her commitment to serve her community, Catherine, a fierce advocate for gun sense laws, joined Moms Demand Action as a volunteer in 2022. Through her volunteerism, Catherine learned that you have to be at the table to effect change. With that goal in mind, she stepped up to become a Marion County Precinct Committeeperson in 2023 and has taken the lead on several other campaigns. Catherine sits on various boards and committees including The Growth Project, Development Committee for Hoosier Women Forward and the Lawrence Township School Foundation Board.
  • Education:

    1. Fully funded and supported public schools. 2. School boards that are apolitical. 3. Teachers that are supported, not attacked.

    4. Abolish the school choice program and put tax dollars back in public schools where they belong.
  • Affordability and accessibility: Accessible healthcare, housing, childcare and cost of living aren't just talking points, they are imperatives.
  • Smart infrastructure and economic growth and investments: Infastructure that supports businesses, creates good-paying jobs, cuts down on traffic and strenthens our communities. We need to build an economy that works for everyone.
