For the last 13 years I have represented the people of Nueces County to help them achieve justice. Now I am running for 117th District Court Judge to ensure justice to everyone. I am the most experienced candidate in the race, and the only one with significant trial experience. I have tried dozens of cases and handled over a thousand more all the way up to the Texas Supreme Court, making me the most qualified person to preside over this trial court. I attended Texas Tech University, where I received my bachelor's and masters degrees before receiving my Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri. I immediately came home to Corpus Christi to practice, where I have spent 100% of my career. After working in firms and gaining experience in criminal, civil, and family law, I opened up my own law firm with my husband. We are the proud parents of four beautiful children and are very involved in our community in various nonprofit organizations, groups, and boards. I have received the support and endorsement from the Corpus Christi chapter of the National Association of Letter Carriers (Branch 1259), as well as the Nueces County Sheriff Officers’ Association. As a wife, mother, and Corpus Christi native, I am passionate about serving our community as your next 117th District Court Judge.
  • Celina is the only experienced trial lawyer.
  • Celina is the only candidate from Corpus Christi.
  • Celina is fair, impartial, and will treat everyone who comes before her with dignity and respect.
It is imperative for each person to have equal access to justice, and be treated as a person - not the cases in which they are involved. This entails having patience and requires giving each individual their day in court. A judge must be fair, impartial, and have integrity. Because a district courts are the "primary trial courts," (https://www.nuecesco.com/courts/district-courts) it is crucial for a district court judge to have trial experience to effectively and justly make decisions on rules of evidence and preside over trials.
