A Central Kitsap School District Levy Increase measure was on the February 8, 2011 ballot in the Central Kitsap school district area, which is in Kitsap County.
This measure was approved
- YES 8,168 (52.79%)
- NO 7,306 (47.21%)[1]
This measure sought to increase the current property tax to a rate of around $1.71 per $1,000 of assessed property value and would go towards capital projects in the district. Opponents noted that it was never a good time to ask for more money, least of all during a recession; supporters noted though that the rates are good now and in the end it will cost less to finance new projects now rather than waiting another year.[2]
