This measure sought to renew the current school levy which is set at a rate of $.575 per $100 of assessed property for a further five years in order to continue to pay for emergency requirements as needed in the school district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| Shall a levy renewing an existing levy be imposed by the Central Local School District, Defiance and Williams Counties, Ohio, for the purpose of providing for the emergency requirements of the school district in the sum of Six Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($615,000) and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average 5.75 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.575 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013?[3] |
