Two of the five seats on the Escondido Union High School District Board of Education were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. In her bid for re-election, Trustee Area 3 incumbent Christi Knight ran unopposed and won re-election by default. The race for the open Trustee Area 4 seat featured candidates Cesar Serrano and Dane White, and White won.[1][2]
