Chad Everingham
Charles “Chad” Everingham IV was a federal magistrate judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He served in this position from April 1, 2007[1] to October 5, 2011 when he retired to enter private practice.[2]
Education
Judge Everingham graduated with a major in political science and a minor in history from Stephen F. Austin State University. He then received his law degree from the Baylor University School of Law in 1993.[1]
Career
Following law school, Mr. Everingham worked as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Howell Cobb. He then joined the law firm Brown McCarroll & Oaks. On January 3, 2000, he became a permanent law clerk to U.S. District Judge T. John Ward. He remained in this position until his judicial appointment in 2007.[1] On October 5, 2011, he retired to join the Longview, TX office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.[2]
