Chad Fulton was the Zone 5 representative on the Mustang Public Schools Board of Education in Oklahoma from 2010 to 2018. He resigned from the board in 2018 after his wife, Jennifer, accepted a job within the district. State law at the time prohibited board members from being related to district employees.[1]

When he served on the board, Fulton owned Fulton Insurance Agency, which was part of the Farmers Insurance Group. He was married and had three children whom attend district schools.[2]

Fulton was the only candidate to file for the Zone 5 seat which was scheduled for election on February 10, 2015.

Results

The election was canceled due to a lack of opposition in the race, and Fulton was automatically re-elected to a second term on the board.

Funding

Fulton reported no contributions or expenditures to the Oklahoma Ethics Commission in this election.[3]

Endorsements

Fulton did not receive any official endorsements in this election.

2010

Fulton faced Mike Buckley, a pastor at Extreme Community Church, in the election on February 9, 2010. Both had filed to run for the office without knowing the other was also running. Buckley withdrew from the race, but the deadline for withdrawing had already passed. The election was required to go forward by law, and Buckley could have still won the seat. However, he endorsed Fulton prior to the election.[2]
