I'm a father, husband, veteran, and a special education teacher with a business degree from Oklahoma State. I also have experience in air traffic control, pipeline control and project management. As a teacher, I have special insight as to the challenges faced by my students and their families and as such I'm focused on creating the best opportunities for Tulsans without leaving anyone behind. As a former foster parent and adoptive dad, I know that community resources can make a difference in keeping people from falling through the cracks. I'll focus on addressing homelessness, mental health, public safety, and infrastructure. As a small business investor, I also believe in encouraging entrepreneurship, economic development and local employment opportunities. I believe in transparency, honesty and accessibility. If elected, I'll hold regular office hours in accessible public locations to meet constituents in person and maintain communications through electronic platforms like social media and email.
  • Community investment: We have the resources and ability to address homelessness, improve infrastructure, support mental health, and be a beacon of economic opportunity.
  • Public Safety: Building a safer community requires a holistic approach. We must ensure our first responders, including our firefighters, have the resources they need to support Tulsans.
  • Transparency, Honesty, and Accessibility: We deserve leaders who always put the people they serve before politics or power. As your councilor, my first obligation is to the working parent, the small business owner, the young student, and the lifelong Tulsan passionate about creating a better city.
I am passionate about creating low income and low barriers housing. There is not enough affordable housing for all Tulsans. We have about 700 families waiting for housing. That number will increase when some of our apartments in the city stop accepting vouchers. This is a serious issue that will require some creative and out of the box thinking to solve.
