Three of the seven seats on the Canyons School District school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. District 1 incumbent Robert Green did not run for re-election leaving challenger Mont Millerberg to run unopposed for the open seat. Shirley Warren originally filed to run against Millerberg but withdrew from the race before the general election. District 3 incumbent Nancy Tingey ran unopposed and won re-election to her seat. District 7 incumbent Chad Iverson defeated challenger Tracy Bennett to win re-election to his seat.[1]
