My name is Chad J. Licht. I will be 19 years old by the time of the Primary election. I am a college student at Community College of Allegheny County with intents to attend a four year and graduate school. I am studying Social (Political) Sciences. I am a proud graduate of Elizabeth Forward School District and am running for School Board to help make the schools better to continue and benefit our students and teachers.

Good public speaking, loyal, strong leadership, and tough on things I do not believe in.

I want to inspire young people to run for office. I think that youth engagement in local government is very important and I want to show that if I can do it so can they.

I believe that the responsibility of school board members are to protect our children and teachers to the best of our abilities while ensuring that we are giving them the proper resources needed to make their day to day lives better.

I believe that the school board should be non partisan and should do what is best for the students and teachers in the buildings. Not what is best for board members.

I believe that financial transparency and government accountability are two of the most important things. That is why I am fighting for EF School Board meetings to be live streamed and recorded. I feel that this will allow for more financial transparency and will give the members of our community a chance to hold board members accountable.

I feel that if we continue to use tech to our advantage for things like math and science it gives our students a way to interact with what would typically be a boring topic to them and makes it into something they are interested in.

Show off the greatness of EF. We have amazing abilities with the amount of tech we have in our schools. It should be no problem to get teachers to want to teach in our schools.

I would go straight to the people. Any issue that there is I will be open to hearing them out and seeing what I could do as a member of the school board to help solve the issue.

I believe that they best way to build relations is to be honest, open, and transparent. If you do not allow for transparency you block yourself to many different opportunities. I would love to open the school board up to more conversations with the local town commissioners to see what we could do to work together and how we can save money by doing so.

We need to show off the things we are doing in our buildings. We have a lot of classes in our buildings such as personal finance, esports, multimedia that I believe could earn us a lot of grants and funding benefits.

Transparency. Posting what is happening in our school buildings online is a step in a positive direction to help build relations with the parents in the district.

I believe that an environment where students can feel safe, secure, and comfortable is ideal.

I would like to go through the Student Handbook and make it more specific to stop students from getting away with things that are bothering surrounding students.

Teachers who go above and beyond to be with and support their students in their personal lives not just in their educational lives.

Continue to support them in what they do and help improve them in what they need improved in. It is better to help and show support when something is wrong than attack and pull out of it.

I believe that the primary job of a School Board member is to work with the teachers in the schools to see what it is they can do to better improve their jobs for the benefit of them and the students they teach.
