Chad Williams is an entrepreneur and political activist from Choctaw, Oklahoma. Together with his wife Kendra, they raise their 17 year old son, Kyle who has Cerebral Palsy.

After 9/11 Chad joined the Marine Corps becoming a KC-130 Navigator at MCAS Cherry Point, NC. After which he decided to re-enlist into the National Guard. Chad served with the 1345th Transportation Company as the company dispatcher.

Graduating in 2010 with a B.A. in Management from the University of Central Oklahoma, Chad went into the oilfield first as an equipment operator but quickly promoted to Service Supervisor.

Being forced to make a career change after the slow-down, Chad became a security alarm service technician. This provided a foundation for him to start Automated Home Solutions. His other business ventures include being part owner of Protective Alarm System Services providing security and surveillance products and services to the South Central region of the US. He is also a licensed home inspector in Oklahoma.

Having been active throughout his life in the realm of politics he was elected to serve as Treasurer of the Oklahoma Libertarian Party in 2017 and Chair in 2019. He also ran and won election as the Ward 1 City Councilman in Choctaw where he quickly became a leader in the City disrupting 30+ years of government mismanagement. Chad fought against lockdowns and mask mandates during COVID, over regulation on businesses, and challenged ordinances aimed at restricting property rights.
  • I am not running for office as a stepping stone to higher political ambitions. My commitment is to serve and address the immediate needs and concerns of Oklahomans. I am here to make a tangible difference in the present, not to use this position as a mere launching pad for personal advancement. My focus is on effective governance and real results, not on climbing the political ladder
  • I would like to see a shift towards performance-based regulation (PBR) where utilities are rewarded for meeting specific performance metrics such as service quality, efficiency improvements, and customer satisfaction, rather than merely reimbursing costs. This can incentivize utilities to innovate and improve service delivery.
  • As we continue to advance technologically, it becomes increasingly imperative to reevaluate and update our regulatory frameworks to reflect the current state of technology and market dynamics. Older technologies, like landlines and cotton gins, once pivotal in shaping our industrial and communication landscapes, now operate in vastly different contexts. It is time to consider the deregulation of these sectors to foster innovation, reduce unnecessary bureaucratic overhead, and better allocate resources to more current and emerging technologies. By reducing the regulatory burden on these older technologies, we can encourage more efficient and competitive market conditions, ultimately benefiting both the economy and consumers.
My commitment is to advocate for policies that promote transparency, fairness, and open markets, ensuring that no entity, public or private, can unfairly dominate our economic landscape. I believe in fostering an environment where competition thrives, diversity is encouraged, and freedom is safeguarded.
The Corporation Commission is responsible for regulating so much of Oklahoma's economic systems. Aside from the Governor and the legislature as a whole it is perhaps the most important government entity in the State of Oklahoma.
I really admire President Coolidge. His approach to governance was less is best. This led to one of the most prosperous decades in US history, The Roaring 20's.
Honesty and integrity are the most important characteristics of an elected official. Many times elected officials will either water down the truth, avoid discussion, or will flat out lie about a situation if they feel it could negatively affect their chance at re-election. This makes for poor leadership and even poorer government.
The core responsibility for a Corporation Commissioner is first to the people of Oklahoma. The entire idea of regulation is to protect the people. Secondary to that is to balance that protection with as little interference with the free market as possible. Where it comes to public utilities the Corporation Commission should foster means to allow for competition, innovation, and quality of service to the rate payers.
Just like nature one should strive to leave a place in better condition that when you found it. My aim when I leave office is to have made the state a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
The first historical event I remember was President Reagan's iconic speech in West Berlin. I was six years old and remember how profound and daring it was to openly challenge the Soviet Union. I knew then that world events were about to change drastically.
As the oil and gas industry dominates the Oklahoma economy, the office of a Corporation Commissioner is one-third of the decision making process that holds the life blood of the state in its hands.
Most people may be unaware that the Corporation Commission oversees the regulation of the cotton gins in Oklahoma as well as all commercial transportation within the state.
I believe having an understanding of how the oil and gas industry works as a whole would be most beneficial.
Bethany City Councilman and former Gubernatorial candidate Chris Powell
Government should have absolute transparency and accountability. However, their idea of this usually entails complicated accounting practices and schemes that obfuscate the general public.
I oppose the current efforts to block and/or confine the abilities for people to utilize the ballot initiative and referendum processes. I believe the current laws make it nearly impossible to successfully pass an initiative. Referendums are even harder evidenced by the fact that fewer than 25 have ever made it to the petition phase, much less the ballot.
