This measure sought to renew the current mental health levy which is set at a rate of $.07 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for the mental health, drug and alcohol district costs in the county.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services District of Logan and Champaign Counties for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding seven-tenths (0.7) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to seven cents ($0.07) for each one hundred dollars of valuation for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
