Chang-Hui Shen
Chang-Hui Shen was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Edison Township school board in New Jersey. He lost in the general election on April 23, 2014.
Biography
Chang-Hui Shen is a resident of Edison Township, New Jersey. Shen earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the National Chung-Hsing University in Taiwan and his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. From 1998 to 2002, he was employed by the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland as a visiting fellow with both the Laboratory of Cellular and Developmental Biology and the National Institute of Diabetes, Digesting and Kidney Diseases. Beginning in September 2002, Shen served as an assistant professor of biology with the College of Staten Island until he received a promotion to the position of associate professor in January 2008. Since 2003, he has also been employed by both the CUNY Graduate Center and the CUNY Institute for Macromolecular Assemblies as an associate professor.[1]

Chang-Hui Shen lost to incumbents Jingwei Shi and Frank Heelan and fellow newcomer Beth Moroney for the three at-large seats in the general election on April 23, 2014. Shi, Heelan and Shivi Prasad-Madhukar campaigned as one slate and Moroney, Kiel Thoms and Shen campaigned as a separate "Team E3" slate.[2][3]
