Charlene Russell-Tucker is the Connecticut Commissioner of Education. She assumed office on March 2, 2022. Her current term ends on January 6, 2027.
Russell-Tucker was appointed to the office by Gov. Ned Lamont (D) on March 3, 2021.[1] She was reconfirmed on April 12, 2023.[2]
Biography
Charlene Russell-Tucker earned a master's degree from Albertus Magnus College.[3] Russell-Tucker's career experience includes working as a deputy commissioner, chief operating officer, associate commissioner, education bureau chief, and education consultant with Connecticut Department of Education.[4]
