Charlene Tabet is an at-large representative on the Burbank Unified School District Board of Education in California. First elected in 2013, Tabet won a new term in the at-large primary election on February 28, 2017.

Tabet graduated from the Burbank Unified School District. She attended Pasadena City College and then graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Southern California. A former teacher, Tabet served on the PTA of Jefferson Elementary School, Muir Middle School, and Burbank High School. She has also served with the Burbank Athletic Federation, the Burbank Vikings Tackle Football and Cheer program, the Burbank Chapter of the National Charity League, Inc., BTAC, Burbank Family Services, Burbank YMCA, and the Boys and Girls Club. Tabet has three children, all of whom graduated from the district.[1][2]

Two of the five seats on the Burbank Unified School District Board of Education were up for primary election on February 28, 2017. In their bids for re-election to the board, incumbents Larry Applebaum and Charlene Tabet ran against challenger Steven Frintner.[3] Frintner and Tabet won the two seats outright in the primary election as they received a majority of the votes.[4][5][6][7]

Tabet filed an exemption form detailing she would not spend or receive more than $2,000 for this campaign. Because of this, she did not have to file additional campaign finance reports.[8]
