Issues

Allen addressed some key issues in his campaign:

  • The Food Supply needs to be fixed--healthy foods need to be affordable and we need to fight obesity.[2]
  • "Regardless of one’s age, race, creed, sexual orientation, or any other factor, the ability of one person to marry another should be a right that is not denied to anyone, in any state, under State or Federal laws."[3]
  • "Working with the Puget Sound Partnership to identify and prioritize cleanup efforts for the Sound would be an important priority of my Congressional term. I would work to propose legislation to strengthen industrial and agricultural pollution regulations, in addition to working to fund projects that worked to better control and clean stormwater runoff and sewage overflow that runs directly into Puget Sound."[4]
