Charles B. Simmons, Jr. is a master-in-equity for Greenville County, South Carolina.[1] Simmons was appointed to the Master-in-Equity position in 1989.[2]
Education
Simmons earned degrees in political science and Criminal Justice from East Tennessee State University in 1979. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1982. He is now married to Beth Spencer, and they have three children.[2]
Career
Simmons worked as a law clerk for Judge C. Victor Pyle, Jr. He then began practicing law for the Carter, Smith Law Firm. He later began working as partner for the Wilkins Law Firm. Simmons was appointed to the position of Master-in-Equity for Greenville County in 1989. He has served in that position since. He also currently serves as a Special Circuit Court Judge for the 13th Judicial District and as the Judge for the 13th Circuit Adult Drug Court.[2]
