An effort to recall Mayor Charles Bryan did not go to a vote in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1935.[1][2]

J. B. Strackbein was one of the sponsors of the recall effort.[1]
Recall opponents
Bryan said the recall effort was "a protest against the policy of law enforcement and reasonable regulation of beer and liquor" that he had initiated.[1]
Path to the ballot
Recall organizers would have needed to collect 5,846 signatures to trigger a recall election.[1]
