Charles Chapel
Charles S. Chapel was a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. He was first appointed to the court on January 12, 1993, by Democratic Governor David Walters. He was retained by voters on November 3, 1998, and November 2, 2004.[1][2] He retired on February 28, 2010.[3][4][5]
Education
Chapel graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and received his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law and his LLM degree from the University of Virginia.[6]
Military service
Chapel served in U.S. Marine Corps 1959 to 1963.[6]
Career
Chapel co-founded the firm Chapel, Riggs, Abney, Neal & Turpen. Additionally, he served as Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Tulsa.[6]
