  • Ensuring our public education system focuses on preparing students for adult life and employment by focusing on teaching reading, writing, math, science and economics in their daily lessons and to ensure that parents have the ability to take an active role in their child's education.
  • Public safety is the key to the success of every community. I support our law enforcement community and our judiciary and will vote to give them the tools to keep citizens safe. I support our second amendment right to bear arms and will defend that right in the State House.
  • Small business is the backbone of America and we must do all we can to support its growth to ensure stable employment. In the State House I will vote to reduce overreaching regulations, fines and fees that impedes small business growth.
To always represent the best interest of my constituents.
A better Georgia for our children.
An open and respectful debate on issues. No heavy handed tactics
Economic Development, Public Safety, Preparing young people for work and adult life through our public education system.
No. In order to govern people, you must share in their "real world" experiences. Politicians are treated differently than others, therefore their current experiences are different from their constituents. Career politicians often have a hard time thinking creatively to provide the best service to their constituents due to their time spent in office being treated differently.
Legislative with public review and comment period.

  • Support Law & Order - I support our men and women in blue, that’s why I work as a bail bondsman. The work that I do every day is crucial to keeping our neighborhoods safe by maintaining accountability for defendants awaiting court appearances.
  • Public Education - I am determined to return the focus of our education system to teaching children how to become functioning, independent adults. Our current system is being used as a platform to further a social agenda. We need to educate children, not indoctrinate them. Accountability in the classroom should be mandatory. I propose using audio and visual cameras in the classroom so parents can see what’s really going on.
  • Responsible Gun Ownership - I support constitutional carry and access to our second amendment right. You should not have to pay to exercise your rights. Enforcing existing gun laws and repercussions for offenders is crucial for accountability.
Every law abiding citizen has a right to pursue his/her happiness without government interference. Unfortunately, our modern government is harassing hard working individuals by picking their pockets in order to pay for pet projects that keep them in office. Entrenched politicians have forgotten that government exists to serve the people - not the other way around. As a State Senator, I will champion ethics reform for legislators. I will fully support our law enforcement community to keep people safe. I will push to restore our public education system to one that teaches children reading, writing, math and science and encourages participation by parents so children can become successful adults. I will reduce government red tape to encourage small business development, and I will ensure that our right to responsible gun ownership is never threatened. In short, I will uphold our conservative values and return government to the people it should be serving.
My Grandfather on my mother's side is the person I most look up to. He was a true southern gentleman. Intelligent, smart, kind and considerate. He raised his children to be leaders and encouraged them to be the best they could be. That may be why my mother achieved the rank of Colonel in the United States Army in the 1970's. My grandfather taught me to believe in myself and to always look out for those who weren't capable of looking out for themselves.
Honesty, integrity, solid work ethic, willingness to stand up for his/her constituent against special interest groups, willingness to die defending American democracy.
Constituent service is the most important responsibility for anyone serving in elected office.
Contributing to an honest government that serves the people.
I remember the fall of Saigon in 1975. I remember the helicopters they pushed into the sea and the panic on the faces of the people who were trying to board them. The withdrawal of Afghanistan was very similar.
My first job was a Courtesy/Produce Clerk for Piggly Wiggly Southern Inc. in Macon, Georgia. I held the job for 2 years and 79 days.
"The Brotherhood of War" by Web Griffin because it speaks to the human psyche.
The job of the State Legislature is to carry the views of the voter to the legislative floor when it comes to making policy, rules and laws. The debate that ensues should be regarded by the Governor as a representative voice of the people, therefore s/he should consider the debate carefully before acting. Governors who overutilize executive orders or unilaterally make decisions run the risk of silencing the voice of the voter. Good government policy is borne out of rigorous debate.
Public Safety, inflation, an education system that focuses more on social agenda than on preparing children for work, reduction of blue collar and agricultural workforce, distrust of our election system.
One might argue that a unicameral state legislature could result in a less expensive, more efficient body, however, when we reduce the number of legislators representing constituents, we also reduce the voice of the people making the body more susceptible to "group think" and the "us versus them" mentality that is far too prevalent in government today.
Since legislators are there to represent the people, I think it is important they have practical experience outside of government so they understand how laws affect the majority of individuals. I prefer my representative to have experience in business, the military, real estate, health care, education, community service etc.
Civilized society consists of building relationships with those who have similar interests. In order for government to function it is important that legislators build relationships with each other.
Redistricting should NOT consider party affiliation or voting patterns, but should instead consider neighborhood needs and similarities. When districts are drawn according to the way neighborhoods function it is easier for their representative to fight for needed services for the entire district. Gerrymandering districts according to party registration in order to protect incumbents is unethical and unfair to the taxpayer because of conflicting needs within the district which often results in some needs not being met.
Education and Youth, Natural Resources and the Environment Committee, State Institutions and Property Committee
My focus is on the Georgia State Senate so I can restore service to the people of the 47th District.
Emergency powers silences the voice of the people. We should avoid granting them.
Compromise and cooperation is necessary in order for society and government to succeed. Compromise is achieved when both sides find common ground. It does not mean selling out a constituency in order to enrich oneself. I can compromise to create sound policy. I can never compromise my principles.
