Charles D. Steele was a judge for the Van Wert County Court of Common Pleas in Van Wert, Ohio. He was appointed to the court by former Governor Bob Taft in 1999 and was re-elected in November 2012. His current six-year term was set to expire in 2018, however, Steele retired from the bench before the end of his last term on January 1, 2015.[1][2][3]

Education

Steele received his undergraduate degree in American studies from Bowling Green State University in 1972, his master's degree in American history from St. Francis College in 1977, and his J.D. degree from Ohio Northern University in 1980.[2]
