Charles E. Burton

Charles E. Burton is a judge of the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush on October 12, 2005, effective November 1.[1] He was later re-elected in 2008 and 2014, and his current six-year term expires on January 4, 2021.[2][3][4]

Education
Burton received his B.S. degree from Suffolk University in 1980 and his J.D. degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1984.[5]
Career
Burton began his career in 1984 as an assistant state attorney in West Palm Beach. He then ran a private law practice with his brother from 1990 to 1995, dealing with bankruptcy, family law and some criminal defense. After that, he returned to the state attorney's office. In May of 2000, he joined the Palm Beach County Court, where he served until his elevation to the circuit court in October of 2005.[1][6]
