Charles Waterbury
Charles E. Waterbury (Green Party) ran for election for the Place 1, Chief Justice judge of the Texas Supreme Court. He did not appear on the ballot for the general election on November 3, 2020.
Biography
Waterbury earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University in 1989 and his J.D. from Baylor Law School in 1992.[1]
At the time of his candidacy, Waterbury maintained his own law practice, Waterbury Law, P.C., in Dallas, Texas.[2] He previously was a partner at the firms of Crocker and Waterbury and Waterbury and Associates. He was also an associate of the firm Gwinn and Roby from 1992 to 1996.[1]

Waterbury was the Green Party judicial candidate for the Texas Supreme Court, Place 5.[3] He challenged incumbent Justice Paul Green (R), Dori Garza (D), and Tom Oxford (Lib.).

Waterbury, a Green Party candidate, was defeated for election to the Texas Supreme Court by Republican John Devine on November 6, 2012 after receiving 8.1 percent of the vote.[9]
