I’m Charles Ellis and I’ve lived my whole life in Maine. I love Maine and want to protect it. I’ve spent the last 13 years working in banking helping people all across the state navigate the world of finances. I’ve worked with poor & rich, young & old, for profit & non-profit small businesses. As a result of that experience I have a good understanding of the financial impacts of policy on the average Mainer. I’ve also had the opportunity to serve on a number of non-profit boards focused on helping those most in need. All of this experience makes me ideally positioned to help in this time in our state. My main issues I’m focused on is our Economy and Protecting our Small Businesses who’ve been crush by COVID yes but also by Augusta’s response to COVID as big businesses profited many small businesses went under. I want to Protect our Education of our youth and parental rights in education. Education is a joint venture between parents and the schools who are coming alongside to assist the parents in raising their children. The primary responsibility of raising and educating children lies with their parents. The education system is meant to be a support for that not supplanting the parents role. Lastly I want to Protect our seniors. Our seniors are the most negatively impacted with rising costs with inflation which is the direct result of unnecessary government spending. I will aim to help get spending under control and lessen the impacts of inflation.
I’m most interested in my main issues as noted in my about me section on here. For more information visit my website or reach out to me directly: ellisformaine.com
