Charles Gallia
Charles Gallia (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Oregon House of Representatives to represent District 40. He lost in the Democratic primary on May 17, 2022.

In addition to running as a Democratic Party candidate, Gallia cross-filed to also run with the Working Families Party in 2018.[1]
Gallia was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 39 of the Oregon House of Representatives.[2] Gallia issued the following statement regarding his bid for office: "Set and achieve highest standards for ethics, equity, and well being. Reframe resource allocation decisions to be complementary between education, health, public safety and the environment, rather than competitive."[3]
Biography
Gallia was born in St. Helens, Oregon. He earned a B.S. in political science and his Ph.D. in public administration and policy from Portland State University. Since 2001 he has worked as a senior health policy advisor for the Oregon Health Authority. Prior to that he was the president of both Paramount Outdoor Gear and Pacific Region Group, Inc.[3]

|Charles is active in the local community. He is a co-founder of the Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership (OPIP). OPIP is a public-private partnership that has successfully worked to ensure that Oregon children with special health care needs are identified and receive appropriate care.
His service hasn’t stopped there. Charles served as Treasurer of the Clackamas County Community Health Council, a member of the campaign advisory council for the Clackamas Volunteers in Medicine/Clackamas Community College Partnership for Community Health and Education, on the Clackamas County Parks Advisory Board, as Chair of the Clackamas County Economic Development Commission, Chair of the Clackamas Fire District #1 Budget Committee, and Chair of Democratic Party of Clackamas County.- An advocate for working families
