Charles Hutchinson is a Husband and father of three, living and working in Wilmette, IL. An attorney and taxpayer advocate, Charles Hutchinson is the principle of his own law firm focusing on estate planning and property tax appeals. Charles is the President of the local Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Historic Preservation Commission, and sits on the Wilmette Theatre board.

Charles received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY and his Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL.

As a family, the Hutchinson's are proud owners of two rescue dogs. The two oldest Hutchinson children attend New Trier High School, the youngest child attends Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School in Wilmette.
  • Parental Rights - Slowly parental rights have been taken away, from education, to health care, to general upbringing. I will fight to restore parental right so parents can raise their children as they see fit.
  • Education - The most important thing we can provide to children of the community is a solid education. Parents must be involved and the education must provide for a solid bedrock upon which people can become productive members of society.
  • Safe Neighborhoods - For children and families to grow and prosper, we must have safe neighborhoods. The ability to feel safe where we live is paramount. I stand with our police and first responders in their efforts to keep us safe.
Taxing and spending by Springfield must be addressed. The Illinois Taxpayer is one of the most heavily taxed person in the country, yet every year the State must borrow money to balance the budget.

Parents must be the absolute and final authority in how to raise their children and what is best for the family. The eroding of parental rights is the eroding of the family.

Education is the key to success. We must allow children to reach their highest potential through education.
