12th District Native. Conservative Christian, Army Combat Veteran, Farmer, Agriculture Teacher, Husband, Father.
  • We must respect and defend life from conception through a natural death. The unborn, minors, disabled, and the elderly are especially vulnerable and must be protected at all costs. Abortion is murder and we must fight to prevent exceptions from being passed in the state senate. All persons are created by God and have equal value regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age, economic status, etc.
  • We must protect and defend our right to bear arms. True constitutional carry must be what we have in Tennessee. Any attempts, to take a law abiding citizen's firearm, must receive the same scrutiny as any other legal situations. I'm against red flag laws and do not support any state organization being authorized to seize firearms from citizens without due process.
  • Rural healthcare must be a priority for the state senate. We need to drastically expand access to healthcare in rural areas. The state needs to step up to expand healthcare options for mothers, children, the elderly, and low income citizens. Additionally, our EMT and paramedic communities represent the difference between life/death for many on the way to distant hospitals. The state needs to supplement these folks to receive higher pay to ensure we keep them in our rural communities.
Rural healthcare, economic development, school choice, protecting the 2nd amendment, and protecting the unborn.
Personal and professional integrity. I take the high road and don't compromise my values to get along or fit in. We all must answer to God and our neighbors for our actions.
Listen to voters and action the wishes of those that live in the communities they represent. Provide solutions through legislation to help improve the quality of life of the communities they represent.
I support term limits. We have too many elected officials that are in the business of staying in office. They end up selling out and don't represent the interests of their voters.
Yes, legislative actions are won when a team is put together to build cohesion to achieve common goals. I doubt a single bill would ever pass if a legislator took the lone wolf approach.
School Choice: Parents and guardians pay taxes and should have the right to send their students to the school of their choice. This means public, private, across county lines, online, etc. Every parent/guardian should have the right to decide where their child is educated. Why is the success of the family and child not at the center of this conversation?
Education, Rural Healthcare, Agriculture/Natural Resources, Economic Development, Housing Development
We need greater transparency in government. Especially at the state and local level. We pay taxes and have a right to know how our money is spent to the penny.
