Charles Ferraro (Republican Party) was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 117. He assumed office on January 7, 2015. He left office on January 8, 2025.
Ferraro (Republican Party, Independent Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 117. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
Charles Ferraro earned a B.S. in biology from Southern Connecticut University in 1974. Ferraro’s career experience includes working as the owner, CEO and Grandmaster of West Haven Academy of Karate, Inc. He co-founded the Worldwide Tang Soo Do Family, which describes itself as “promoting world peace and improved human relations through the practice and sharing of martial arts.”[1]

2014
Elections for the Connecticut House of Representatives consisted of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Paul Davis was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Charles J. Ferraro was unopposed in the Republican primary. Ferraro defeated Davis in the general election.[4][5]
Note: Ferraro received votes as a Republican candidate and as an independent candidate. His votes were added together, giving him a total of 4,281 votes and winning him the seat.
