Charles L. Ricketts, III
Charles L. Ricketts, III is a circuit court judge for the 25th Judicial Circuit in Virginia.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Bob McDonnell on July 18, 2013. Ricketts was elected by the Virginia General Assembly to a full term in 2014. His term expires in 2022.[2][3]
Education
Ricketts received his undergraduate degree from Hampden-Sydney College and his J.D. from the University of Richmond.[4]
Career
Immediately prior to his appointment to the Circuit Court, Ricketts served as a judge for the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on the 25th District for eight years. He has also previously worked as an attorney in private practice, served on the Waynesboro City Council, and was a mayor for the city of Waynesboro.[5]
