Charles L. Stango

Charles L. Stango is a Republican at-large representative on the Waterbury Public Schools Board of Education in Connecticut. First elected in 2005, Stango won a new term in the at-large general election on November 7, 2017.
Biography
Stango earned a B.S. in Technology Education from Central Connecticut State University. He worked as a technology teacher for 35 years in area schools before retirement. Stango has been involved with local organizations including the Knights of Columbus and UNICO Club of Waterbury. He and his wife, Eileen, have two children and two grandchildren.[1]
Elections
2017
Five of 10 seats on the Waterbury Public Schools Board of Education in Connecticut were up for at-large election on November 7, 2017. Four incumbents won re-election: Karen E. Harvey (D), Juanita Hernandez (D), Charles L. Stango (R), and Thomas Van Stone Sr. (R). Newcomer Melissa Serrano-Adorno (D) also won. Republican challenger Zaida Martinez lost, as did Margaret "Maggie" O'Brien, Danielle Albert, and Shakirah Howard, who were endorsed by the Independent Party.[2][3]
