Fundraising
Landers has raised more than $1.45 million from July to October 2010 in his bid to win the open state house seat vacated by Betsy Hannig (D). Hannig replaced her husband, Gary Hannig, who left his long-held House seat to be the Secretary of Transportation to the State of Illinois. Landers has the advantage on funds raised over his Republican challenger Wayne Arthur Rosenthal, who has raised $550,000 in the same fundraising period.[2]
