Noteworthy events

Censure vote

On December 10, 2024, the Madison Common Council voted 13-2 to censure Myadze and remove him from his committee appointments.[1] The censure resolution, which does not remove him from office, stated his alleged actions of domestic abuse constituted “conduct unbecoming of an alder.” In response to the censure vote, Myadze stated: “Do not hold back my ability to serve my constituents, especially while I’m still in the office.”[2]
