Kokoras ran for election to the Vermont Superior Courts, as an assistant judge of Bennington County.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on August 26, 2014.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 18.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Democrats James Colvin and Wesley Mook and Republican Loyal J. Westcott for two open seats.

Kokoras received his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and his J.D. degree from the Albany Law School.[4][5]

Kokoras works in sales and marketing for the Bennington Pool, Spa & Hearth Company in Bennington, Vermont.[5]
