Charles P. Sniffen is a judge of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court in Manatee County, Florida. He was appointed by Gov. Rick Scott (R) on July 28, 2017, to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Janette Dunnigan.[1]
Sniffen was a county judge of the Manatee County Court of Florida. He was appointed by Governor Scott on January 15, 2013, to fill the vacant position created by the resignation of Judge George K. Brown, Jr.[2][3] He was re-elected without opposition in 2014 and served until his appointment to the circuit court.[4]

Sniffen earned his B.A. from Emory University in 1994 and his J.D. from Florida State University in 1997.[5]
