Charles Nelson Pray was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Montana. He was nominated by President Calvin Coolidge on January 21, 1924. He assumed senior status in 1957 and served until his death on September 12, 1963.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

District of Montana

Pray was nominated by President Calvin Coolidge on January 21, 1924, to a new seat created by 42 Stat. 837. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 8, 1924, and received commission that same day. From 1948 to 1957, he served as chief judge. On April 10, 1957, Pray assumed senior status and served until his death on September 12, 1963.[1] Pray was succeeded in this position by Judge William Jameson.
