Charles S. Crandall was a judge for the Superior Court of San Luis Obispo County in California. He was appointed by former governor Gray Davis in October 2003 to succeed Donald G. Umhofer. Crandall was re-elected in 2012.[1][2]

Crandall left office in 2023.[3]

Education

Crandall received a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School.[2]

Career

Prior to becoming a judge for the Superior Court of San Luis Obispo County, Crandall worked as an environmental litigator. He previously worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in New Jersey and San Diego.[2]

2012 election

Crandall ran for re-election to the superior court in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, Crandall was automatically re-elected.[4]
