Charles Stuber (North Carolina)
Charles Stuber (b. 1960) was a Republican candidate for North Carolina State Auditor.[1] He was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Biography
After completing his legal education, Stuber became a special agent for the FBI in 1985. In 1998, he was transferred to the Charlotte, North Carolina field office to investigate government corruption. Stuber was involved in several cases including prominent public officials, including former Governor Mike Easley. He retired from the FBI in June 2014 after 28 years with the Bureau. Stuber then began working as the chief investigator for the North Carolina State Board of Elections.[2]

Stuber ran for North Carolina Auditor in the 2016 elections. He was the only Republican candidate to file for the race. He faced two-time incumbent Beth Wood (D) in the November general election.[2]
