Charles Taylor Sherman (1811-1879) was also a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

He was nominated by President Andrew Johnson on March 2, 1867. He was confirmed by the Senate on March 2, 1867, and received commission that same day. He resigned on November 25, 1872.[1] Sherman died on January 1st, 1879.
