Charles W. Gurtler, Jr. was the presiding judge for Division 1 of the Mohave County Superior Court in Arizona. He was elected to the court in 2002 and became presiding judge in 2011, retiring from the court on June 30, 2021.[1][2]

Gurtler ran for re-election to the Mohave County Superior Court.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on August 26, 2014.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. [3][4] 

2010

Gurtler was re-elected to the Mohave County Superior Court. He defeated Kenneth Sondgeroth in the general election, winning 59.78 percent of the vote.[5]

Gurtler received his J.D. from California Western School of Law.[6]

Career

Gurtler spent 16 years as a private practice attorney. He was appointed judge pro tempore of the Mohave County Superior Court's Juvenile Division in 1994. He was then elected to the Mohave County Superior Court in 2002. He was the presiding judge for the Juvenile Court from 2003 to 2004 and served as the presiding judge of the Superior Court from 2011 to 2021.[1][6]
