Charles McBurney (Republican Party) was a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 16. McBurney assumed office on September 1, 2007. McBurney left office on November 1, 2016.

McBurney ran for election for judge of the Florida 4th Circuit Court. McBurney lost in the primary on August 28, 2018.

McBurney is a former Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 16 from 2007 to 2016.

McBurney did not seek re-election to the Florida House of Representatives in 2016 because he was term-limited.

McBurney's professional experience includes working as a partner in the law firm of Fischette, Owen, Held and McBurney, senior trial assistant in the State Attorney's Office in Jacksonville from 1984 to 1990, and associate with Mathews, Osborne, McNalt, Gobelman and Cobb from 1982 to 1984.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Incumbent Charles McBurney defeated Chris Oliver in the Republican primary and defeated Brunell William Martineau (I) in the general election.[3][4]
