Charles Edgar Woodward (1876-1942) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Woodward was nominated by President Calvin Coolidge on March 1, 1929, to a seat vacated by Adam Cliffe; he was confirmed by the Senate on March 2, 1929, and received commission that same day. He served the Northern District of Illinois until his death on May 15, 1942.[1] Woodward was succeeded in this position by Elwyn Shaw.
