Biography
Born in Memphis, Burch graduated from Germantown High School in 1986. He went on to receive a B.S. in history from the University of Memphis in 1991. His professional experience—a mix of work in the entertainment industry and in realty—includes the following:

- 2010-Present: Songwriter and publisher, ASCAP
- 1986-Present: Owner and manager, Burch Properties
- 2009-2019: Vice chairman and board member, Memphis Music Commission
- 2012-2013: Producer and event manager of 2013 Gala Fundraiser, The MED Foundation
- 1999-2003: Secretary and commissioner, Memphis Alcohol Commission[1]

The city of Memphis, Tennessee, held elections for mayor and city council on October 8, 2015. Because this race could not move to a runoff, the candidate with the most votes was declared the winner, regardless of whether he or she won a majority.[6] The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 17, 2015.[7] In the District 9 Position 1 race, incumbent Kemp Conrad defeated Charley Burch and Robin A. Spielberger in the general election on October 8, 2015.[8]
