Charlie Hales
Charlie Hales was the mayor of Portland, Oregon. He was elected in 2012, and was sworn into office on January 1, 2013. He did not seek re-election in 2016. Before becoming mayor, he was a member of the Portland City Council from 1993-2002.[1]
Biography
Hales obtained a B.A. in Political Theory from the University of Virginia. His professional experience includes working for the Homebuilders Association of Metropolitan Portland and for Transit Planning at HDR, Inc..[1]
