Charlie Manolakis was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election in the regular election to the U.S. House to represent the 8th Congressional District of Arizona He also ran as a Green Party candidate in the special election to the U.S. House to represent the 8th Congressional District of Arizona.

Regular election
Manolakis ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Arizona's 2nd District as a write-in candidate. He was defeated by Ron Barber in the Democratic primary on August 28, 2012.[1][2]
Special election
Manolakis ran in the 2012 special election for the U.S. House, representing Arizona's 8th District. The election was held to replace recently resigned Representative Gabrielle Giffords. He won the April 17 Green party primary. He was defeated by Ron Barber (D) in the general election on June 12, 2012.[3][4]
