I’m a native of Southwest Huntsville, living in the same neighborhood where I grew up. My single mother and my grandfather raised me. My life has had a lot of ups and downs. As a kid, I was in and out of trouble, but I eventually turned myself around, graduated from Madison Academy, a private Christian school, in 2004. From there, I went on to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, earning a B.S. in Biology and a A.S. in Chemistry in 2004, later adding coursework in Chemistry from the University of Alabama-Huntsville. I was raised to believe that hard work and integrity are all that matters. I am an honest free thinker that believes in leadership. I believe my work ethic and intelligence will help guide America. I want to make a difference in this country by redeeming the soul of America in order to make her a beacon of hope for the World.
  • I am the candidate that will lead. I will put my neck on the line and stand up for my ideas. I will not cower from criticism, trials, and tribulations but instead overcome them and show America what a good, honest, strong, leader can achieve by lifting up the working class and exposing political corruption.
  • I believe in Unity. I believe the United States was built on Unity of all Americans and compromise between the parties. I think hyper partisanism and corruption have caused division in America. I believe Lincoln and Jesus were right when they said, "a house divided against itself cannot stand." I will fight the corruption and lies that have divided our country and I will work to get the power of the country back into the hands of the American people. I will do this by passing anti-corruption legislation like Term Limits, Campaign Finance Reform, harsher consequences for ethics violations, and allowing the American people to vote on Congressional and Presidential pay raises.
  • I believe in rebuilding the American family. I support working Americans and my people of North Alabama. I will do any and everything to guarantee better lives for working class families. I will not raise taxes on working class families like Republican Rick Scott wants to do. I will work to get families the resources needed to raise children and spent time with them to help their growth and development. I want affordable education so we can help mold our children into leaders and improve the American economy. I will get working families needed healthcare. My goal is to double the GDP of North Alabama from $20 to $40 Billion in the next 10 years with these policies.
I am pushing for change in America. I want to make America as profitable as possible while protecting the working class from parasitic business practices. I will do this while working to balance the budget to limit inflation to help working families. I am working to protect the rights and freedoms of all Americans. I will protect the 2nd Amendment as I myself have my concealed carry license. I will protect voting rights for all Americans so that they can control the power of the Government. I want to pass a Constitutional Amendment to eliminate the exception clause in the 13th Amendment. I want to work on criminal justice and prison reform so that we can rehabilitate prisoners into law-abiding citizens so that we can save money and increase our GDP. I want anti-corruption legislation to limit the possibilities of our government being inundated with corrupt money which causes it to no longer work for the American people. As a Environmental Conservative I will work to introduce and pass climate legislation to protect our environment. Making money is great but it can't be more important than life because dead people can't make or spend money. I will work to make us energetically independent from foreign powers. I will fix the immigration problem in America and make us money doing it. I will work on any and all policy that I believe improve the lives of hard working Americans like myself.
My grandfather was my world. He was an Army Master Sargent that was on the front lines in both Korea and Vietnam. He received his Masters as a white man from a HBCU, Alabama A&M in the 70s which was unheard of in the South. He was an instructor at J.F. Drake State Technical College when I was growing up. He taught Industrial Robotics and Electricity at Drake. He was the only instructor in the state of Alabama so he himself wrote the entire state curriculum. If you graduated his class you were guaranteed a job in your field. He taught me everything he knew from science to philosophy to wisdom. He was the most charismatic person I ever met. I have never heard anyone ever say a bad word about him. He is the one who taught me about Integrity and hard work. He gave me the drive to better myself and become the man I am today.
My political philosophy is my own. It stems from learning from multiple books on different sciences, political science books, military science books, philosophical books, religious books and from life experience. I would need to write my own book to explain my
Honesty, Intelligence, Accountability, Work Ethic, Open-minded, Team oriented, and The ability to Compromise.
To lead by example and work as a servant to my district. My job is to address the needs of my constituents and work to improve the lives of the citizens in my district. I am to be available to them and accountable to them.
I was an Umpire starting at the Age of 12. My first job legally taxed job was working as a janitor in a Bowling Alley at 15. I did both of these jobs until I went to college at 17 years old.
The Three Musketeers because every section was action packed and every chapter ended on a cliff hanger which made it where you could never put it down.
Moth to a Flame by Swedish House Mafia featuring The Weeknd
It is where the bills are introduced. It is were the ideas that shape America are first introduced to the people. It is more representative of the people being that is based on population of the districts it represents.
No, what we have seen is that politicians who come to Congress after being in a local or state position just joins the party they are affiliated with and do not try to bring change to America. We need new blood and new ideas who are not corrupted by the political field and the money that has historically driven it.
Unifying our country back together and getting control of government spending while also trying to build a society that protects the workers and eliminates corruption.
Ways and Means, Armed Services, Budget, Education and Labor, Energy and Commerce, Ethics, Science, Space, and Technology
They are mandatory in my view. We do not need career politicians who do not connect with the average aged American. We need politicians who see the World as the people living in America see it.
I heard a story about a man who worked 80 to 90 hours a week until his body broke down in his late 20s. He can't get any medical help or medication for pain. He cannot work a job because if he works more than 4 hours he will be physically hospitalized because of his ailments(degenerative disc disease and extreme arthritis). He still tries to go to work because he can't get any medical help or disability so once he's issues break him he is let go from his job. He wants to work and if we had the means to help him he would be at work busting his ass to make money and pay his taxes. He has been hamstrung by the law where he feels he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. We did not look out for him just like we aren't looking out for many working American's.
I would be glad to tell you but I would lose any chance of making this a career.
It must be. America was founded on compromise. The key for unity is to work together to find better solutions to our problems.
It is huge because many of my ideas are about increasing the revenue of the U.S. Government without raising taxes on the people.

Campaign website

Thompson's campaign website stated the following:

Protecting American Values

North Alabama has a large military presence that brings resources and opportunities to the area. I support NASA and the United States military, and I understand their importance to the people and economy of North Alabama. Also, with rising tensions in Russia and China we must make sure our Military is economically sufficient to combat these international threats.

I am a true Constitutionalist; I support all 27 amendments to The Constitution not just a few cherry-picked amendments to support my arguments. I have my concealed carry permit and I support the 2nd amendment, but I believe proper background checks and mandatory gun safety classes are important to minimizing the destruction caused by criminal renegades and limit the number of innocent children killed by improperly stored guns in America. I do not support gun bans instead I support gun education. We banned alcohol and alcohol use and crime increased. We started the “War on Drugs” and drug use and crime increased. The only people likely to follow a gun ban are the people that need personal protection the most. We must as a country take an active stand against gun violence. We must not stand by passively and let American families suffer gun violence and only offer “our thoughts and prayers.” I am completely in favor of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom to practice your religion. I am not in favor of the sin of “bearing false witness” and the corrupt people’s use of these lies to undermine America. We must protect everyone’s Constitutional rights and limit government overreach when it pertains to individual rights.

Redeeming The American Soul

We have a problem with corruption in our government. We have seen how the effects of policies like Citizen’s United have increased corruption in our government. We must enact laws to eliminate political corruption to protect our Democracy. We must get dark money SuperPACs out of politics. We must deem lobbyist’s political contributions as bribery. We must enact term limits to discourage career politicians and push for harder punishments for ethics violations to clean up Washington.

In our race here in Alabama’s 5th Congressional district the 6 Republicans running have all stated publicly that if they win, they will vote for Donald Trump to be Speaker of the House and then they intend to Impeach Biden and Harris to usurp power and hand the Presidency back to Trump. This is not the act of a party of Conservative Constitutionalist but of a party pushing for an Authoritarian Dictatorship. This race is boiling down to a choice between a Dictatorship full of lies and Democracy, and I stand for Democracy!

Unifying The Country

We the People of the United States, are the first words of The Constitution and the entire point of my campaign. The Corrupt have caused so much disillusionment in America that many people are talking about armed conflict against our own nation. As President Lincoln said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand,” and I will not let my country collapse into a Second Civil War. I will not let my fellow Americans suffer the possibility of our country collapsing. It is time someone stands up for our country and push for the most logical and profitable answer for all of America and not just the upper one percent.

Balancing The Budget

We must be economically conservative when it comes to the United States budget. We are more than $28 Trillion in debt and have a national debt to Gross Domestic Product ratio of 128%. This is dangerous to the development and growth of the United States. We must take responsibility for this debt and control our government spending before it overwhelms us and crashes the U.S. economy. We must look for new revenue streams while at the same time not raising taxes. This will be one of the hardest endeavors that we as a government will undertake in our lifetime. We cannot allow our government to put more economic strain on our children and instead reign in our spending and be responsible to the U. S. taxpayers.

Combating Climate Change

We must combat Climate Change. It does not matter how much money we make if our environment becomes so bad that our species’ survival becomes impossible. God gave us this beautiful world as a home, and we are destroying it to benefit corrupt and greedy. Imagine being a father and buying your child a home and they look at you laugh and light it on fire because, “They don’t like the color.” How would you feel as a parent that your child disrespected you in such a way when you were going through that much work just to support them? That feeling is what God must be feeling about us because we are not taking care of his gift. God gave us this world and dominion over it. We should not just oversee it but also be responsible and preserve our world to honor God.

Rebuilding The American Dream

By raising the minimum wage, we can guarantee more money to the working classes. With the working class having more available money then they will not need to work as many hours. This will ensure more time is spent with the family. This encourages family togetherness, discipline, and allows children to have more time with family and more help with homework and other issues in their life. Financial problems are quite devastating to relationships and eliminating those stresses from a couple’s life can increase the strength of their marriage. Financial problems can also cause other problems such as substance abuse, increased crime rates, and mental health problems all of which can destroy the American family if not properly addressed.

The corruption of the medical industry and the insurance industry has made affordable healthcare and important requirement for improving the American family. The prices for insurance and hospital visits are limiting people’s ability to remain healthy. People who are diabetic cannot afford insulin. People with major injuries are avoiding hospitals because they fear the bill because it will bankrupt their family. We cannot let American families go through these financial hardships and physical ailments. Both health problems and bankruptcies destroy American families, its as simple as that.

Affordable education is important if we are to improve the American family. This eliminates the financial burden of the family and encourages students to work harder to get a better education at universities and trade schools. This improvement in education increases the possibilities of the educated children giving them the financial stability to build and maintain a family of their own in the future. A better educated population also gives Americans the tools to fight the problems of today and the problems that will come, which guarantees America first.

Voting Rights

Every legal citizen over the age of 18 that is legally allowed to vote should have the right to their vote without restrictions. Every district should have polling places proportionate to their population density and distance. Every voter, male and female who are legal and lawful to vote, should be registered to vote when they register for the draft. Absentee ballots should be accessible to every American. Voting day should be a national holiday to encourage more people to exercise their right to vote. We must renew the fight for voting rights since the Trump party has become so concerned with limiting people’s access to properly vote with more red tape and regulations.[2]
